An extraordinary display of Stone Island’s fabric engineering from the Spring/Summer 2017 collection, this jacket combines two of the brand's most iconic textile developments. The garment is constructed from Mussola Gommata, a lightweight cotton muslin laminated with a polyurethane coating, which is then "plated" with a highly reflective resin containing thousands of glass microspheres. This dual-layer construction is subjected to a complex garment-dyeing recipe that colours the textile parts while respecting the reflective surface. The result is a striking silver-pink iridescent finish that reacts dramatically to light. The jacket features a high-performance aesthetic with a protective hood, a two-way zip closure, and large bellows pockets on the chest. Elasticated cuffs and a drawstring hem allow for a customizable fit, while the signature compass badge sits on the left sleeve. Condition is PL8, showing light, careful wear with the reflective coating remaining remarkably well-preserved.
