Product Description

The Stone Island 1994 Shearling Sheepskin Flight Jacket (B3) is a truly extraordinary archival piece from Autumn/Winter 1994, constructed from full natural sheepskin with the dense, cream-coloured shearling worn inward to provide exceptional insulation — the exterior presenting a beautifully aged, heavily grained suede face in a rich brown with visible olive-khaki tonal variation across the chest and body, a hallmark of naturally tanned hides that respond organically to wear and time. The construction closely references the iconic B-3 bomber silhouette, with a voluminous shearling-lined lapel collar, a central brass zip closure flanked by a dark leather storm tab with eyelet hardware, and two generously proportioned patch pockets at the hem with shearling-trimmed edges. The cuffs feature twin leather buckle straps — a faithful nod to original WWII aviator detailing — and the shearling trim is exposed throughout the hem, cuffs and collar for a ruggedly luxurious finish. Stone Island's iconic compass badge is present on the left sleeve, rendered in the tonal black format consistent with early-to-mid 1990s archival labelling.

This piece carries ART number 21150045, placing it firmly within the Stone Island Main line for Autumn/Winter 1994 — a period widely regarded as one of the most creatively fertile eras in the brand's history under Carlo Rivetti's stewardship, when Stone Island was producing some of its most experimental and high-craft leather and textile garments. The condition is graded 8/10 — Excellent Used, reflecting the natural patination and tonal ageing intrinsic to this type of sheepskin construction — the jacket wears its three decades of character with integrity, with no structural damage or significant flaws, making it an exceptional collector's acquisition.
